Intel Skylake brings impressive performance for the new 'Mac' line

The new generation Mac models will be equipped with Intel processors Skylake with promising, both in terms of performance and power consumption. Before the Intel announcement Skylake microprocessors for desktop PCs (very likely to be offered for future Mac models), took place at the exhibition Gamescom (Germany) on 5/8 I'm here. Page technology FanlessTech gave us plenty of interesting information about the type of processor this new generation.

Specifically as follows, on Skylake performance will be improved from 10% ~ 20% for both applications multithreaded and single-threaded, with lower power consumption. Intel HD graphics chip is integrated with will provide stronger performance by 30% compared to the current version of Broadwell. Also, the battery life up to 30% more economical.
Details of Skylake improvements listed for the new MacBook line as follows:
  • Y-Series (MacBook): 17% faster CPU, Intel HD graphics faster than 41%, improved battery life of 1.4 hours.
  • U-Series (MacBook Air): 10% faster CPU, Intel HD graphics faster than 34%, improved battery life of 1.4 hours.
  • H-Series (MacBook Pro): 11% faster CPU, Intel HD Graphics 16% faster, lower power consumption to 80%.
  • S-Series (iMac): 11% faster CPU, Intel HD graphics faster than 28%, the power consumption (TDP) is lower than 22%.

Not long ago, Apple has refreshed the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro Retina 13 ", when equipped with the latest processors Broadwell. However, the MacBook Pro Retina 15 "still use the structure Haswell, due to lack of processor type Broadwell 4 people, suitable for notebook line at that time.
Therefore, Apple will probably ignore Broadwell processor type for Retina MacBook Pro 15 ", and will have to sort Skylake leap. Scheduled for release later this year, or early 2016.
Newspaper DigiTimes also recently released a report on its plans to launch the new Apple product. Intel will 'launch' of 18 processors Skylake for laptops in Q4 (October 10). Which, including the mid-range model lines and high-grade, 12-inch MacBook from the new generation, to MacBook Air and Pro Retina MacBoook.
